Mira just love attention
I wasn't really gone, nor in bad health, just preoccupied. With what? I won't bore you with details and if something is really misspelled here, I blame my cat Mira. She is insisting on reaching across my keyboard and I am tolerating her right now since I have been ignoring her most of the week. Not just ignoring, I've been shooing her away.
Besides trying to keep my head above water with sales, the garden has been occupying my time with about 3 hours a day. One and a half hours in the morning and the same in the evening. Finally have all the tomatoes planted or given away. The last five were given to an unknown lady at the convenience center. None of the attendants had gardens so I just kept asking folks as they came in to dump their garbage. I WOULD NOT throw them away and if I was going to get anything else in the garden, I had to stop planting.
GREAT to see the rains move in. Wasn't much until today but I welcomed every drop.
My cole crops and lettuce are about gone., but may plant some more lettuce and radishes for tomato season. AT the end the cabbage loopers were starting to gain momentum so I chose to finish up rather than fight them.
How is everyone else's garden going? I am sure you welcome the rain. Did your crops hold on during the mini-drought? I cheated by watering, which is something I used to refuse to do. Too much time invested in raising them little buggers to planting time to let them waste away. Not that we will eat that much. My friends need to work up their excuses for not accepting excess tomatoes, summer and winter squash. Already giving away zucchini but that will probably end soon if the squash bugs get away from me.
For those who follow me to make comments on current topics, fear not. I will start another post soon.
