For several weeks now the National morning news program that comes on after my preferred local channel (Channel 5) seems to be shifting in the way and amount of Trump coverage. Even this morning after the surgical removal of a top Iranian figure, the expert they brought on seemed to give a balanced evaluation of that incident as well as a National view of politics. Hmmmm
I have noticed this for a few weeks and it has been long enough to not be a passing glitch. The personalities are still anti-Trump but their criticism seems to be softening. The fanaticism on Facebook is not as extreme or evident, or at least in my eyes.
Now, I am not expecting to hear anti-Trump change their public views but something seems to be changing. Are they getting tired, starting to see some truth in what is happening, fed-up with the National leadership or something else?
It is starting to look like the Democratic Party might be splitting and while that might seem to be a good thing from the Republican side, it really isn't good if one party dominates. We need opposing ideas in order to get a more reasonable outcome. An example would be that I agree in climate change and I agree that mankind has an influence.
I just don't think we humans have as much influence as some might think. That does not mean we don't do anything to reduce our impact on the environment. I believe we have to slow, if not stop reckless deforestation of prime areas in the world. On a side note, they are starting to realize that paper is NOT as bad as what has to be done to bring electronic, digital information to our eyes. Most, if not all professional forestry companies MANAGE their forests, not destroy them.
But I digress in my own post, so back to National news coverage. Is anyone else sensing a shift or cantering of the news?
