PUBLIC NOTICE The Bedford County Board of Education will be conducting interviews with five finalists for the position of Superintendent of Schools. Interviews will take place on the following dates with the finalists: January 28 – Dr. John Tucker February 1 – Dr. Robert Ralston February 4 – Dr. Tammy Garrett February 8 – Mrs. Karen Scoggins February 11 – Mr. Tim Harwell The full schedule for interviewees on each day is as follows: 8:00 AM – Breakfast with Board at the Central Office. 9:00 AM – Tour of schools and community. 10:15 AM – Coffee with Principals and Central Office Staff at the Blue Ribbon Circle for a ten minute presentation and thirty minute Q&A. 11:30 AM – Luncheon with community leaders to be held at the Blue Ribbon Circle. Candidate speaks for 10 minutes and answers questions for 30 minutes. 12:30 PM – Break or a short tour of housing options. 3:30 PM – Meeting with faculty and staff at Harris Middle School Auditorium, located at 570 Eagle Boulevard, Shelbyville for a 10 minute presentation and 30 minute Q & A. 5:00 PM – Interview by the School Board at Cascade High School Theatre, located at 3035 Fairfield Pike, Bell Buckle. Interviews are open to the public. Due to COVID-19 protocols, social distancing will be observed and masks are encouraged. The interviews will also be live streamed via a link on the school system website: www.bedfordk12tn.com, and posted on the site for viewing when all interviews are completed. 6:30 PM – Dinner with board members and the candidate at Legends Steakhouse. 7:45 PM – Questions from the Board will conclude to allow for the candidate to ask questions of the Board. 9:15 PM – Conclude activities for the day. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Bid No.: 021-004 BEDFORD COUNTY UTILITY DISTRICT 214 BETHANY LANE SHELBYVILLE, TN 37160 Separate sealed bids for the 2021 US 231N NATURAL GAS LINE EXTENSION will be received by Bedford County Utility District located at 214 Bethany Lane, Shelbyville, Tennessee 37160 until 10:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, February 4, 2021, and then at said time and place publicly opened and read aloud. This project consists of approximately 3,200 linear feet of six (6) inch and two (2) diameter HDPE natural gas lines and appurtenances for the Bedford County Utility District. The 2021 US 231N NATURAL GAS LINE EXTENSION Bid Package, Bid Form, Agreement, and other bidding instruments may be examined at the Bedford County Utility District. Copies of the bidding documents may be obtained at the office of BEDFORD COUNTY UTILITY DISTRICT for no charge. If the bid submitted herewith exceeds $25,000, the Bidder’s license number and license expiration date must be included on the outside of the envelope. All Bidders shall comply with the Contractor’s Licensing Act of 1976 and as amended (TCA Title 62). The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding and to reject any or all bids. All bids must be made out on the Bid Form bound in the contract documents, and the Bid Form should not be detached from the contract documents.
