Carolyn Marie Sanders, 74, of Normandy died Friday, February 17, 2023.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 20 at Riva Lake Baptist Church in Winchester. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville.
She was born January 23, 1949; former branch manager for Regions Bank of Shelbyville and then customer service representative for Regions Bank in Winchester. She was a member of Riva Lake Baptist Church.
Known and loved by many, Carolyn, or Mims to her family, was the perfect depiction of Jesus. She was compassionate and caring, always the first to check on those around her and send a card. She never let her kids and grandkids leave without promising to call her when they got home, and she prayed without ceasing. Carolyn exuded the feeling of home, and you never left her without knowing you were loved by her and by God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Howard Cooper and Mary Aileen Raney Cooper. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 55 years, Larry Sanders; her children, Tina (Rodney) Chamblee, Randy (Lisa) Sanders, Robin Sanders; brothers, Ricky (Kelly) Cooper, Roger Cooper; nine grandchildren, Josh (Shana) Yates, Jeremy Yates, Meghan Bailiff, Nathan Bailiff; Ashley Sanders, Jessica (Will) Rooks, Andrew Sanders, Emmalyn Nowlin and Nikki Diaz; five great-grandchildren, Ava Yates, Ivy Yates, Mason Yates, Eden Sparks and Stella Diaz.
Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
