Funeral services for Christopher “Chris” Bussell, age 47, of Petersburg, will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Clancey Burks officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebank Cemetery. Chris passed from this life suddenly Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at his home.

Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Family request that masks be worn during services.

Christopher was born June 13, 1973, in Cookeville, TN to Charlotte York Bussell and the late Quentin Dale Bussell and is preceded in death by grandparents, Johnnie York, and B.J. and Thelma Bussell.

Chris was a 1991 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School. He worked as a machinist and was a former employee of Calsonic (20 years), Zanini Auto Group (12 years), and was currently with Century Mold (8 years). Outside of work, he enjoyed collecting classic cars, and he was Baptist in faith.

Survivors include: mother, Charlotte York Bussell of Shelbyville; “The loves of his life” children, Kristopher Franklin Bussell of Shelbyville, and Kaylie Michelle Bussell of Flat Creek; and grandmother, Betty York of Cookeville.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
