Latest COVID-19 data from Tennessee Health Department shows that Bedford County has 37 active COVID-19 cases.
Between Nov. 13 and Nov. 26, the state reported 61 active COVID-19 cases in this county. Right after Halloween, there were 60 cases of the coronavirus here.
Bedford County is yet to zero out on COVID-19 cases, since 2020. This means, during this holiday season, it is still necessary to take precautions to remain safe.
There’s no reason not to have the celebrations, but every effort should still be taken to help keep the county population as a whole, healthy.
Many resident have received vaccinations. But, not everyone, according to the state. Since March 5, 2020, when Tennessee Health Department began recording virus cases, Bedford County has had a total COVID-19 case count of 17,179.
While vaccinations remain a choice, here, statistics reveal that 55,337 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered here as of August. There were at least 23,838 people receiving one dose. About half the Bedford County population has been fully vaccinated, according to state data.
Since the pandemic started, there have been 243 deaths in Bedford County and 333 hospitalizations.
Comparatively, Lincoln County currently has 18 active COVID-19 cases and Coffee County has 31.
