Dale Franklin Baker, age 68, of Shelbyville, passed from this life Friday, September 16, 2022, at Vanderbilt-Bedford Hospital with loved ones by his side after an extended illness.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, September 24, at Living Stones Community Church with Pastor Eddie Reed officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
He was born March 6, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late George and Gertrude Klayer Baker. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Crowe, and a brother, George Baker, Jr.
He was a faithful and devoted Christian who was an active member of Living Stones Community Church. He worked as a truck driver by trade, having worked with various companies over his career. He enjoyed hunting and fishing during his free time and love time spent in the company of his family, church family and friends.
He is survived by: loving wife of 29 years, Sissy Thompson Baker of Shelbyville; children, Shawn (Dawn) Baker and Kristen (Bret) Wilmot, both of Ohio; grandchildren, Cater and Lauryn Willmot; sisters, Linda Ratliff and Jan Taylor, both of Ohio; along with many nephews and nieces.
