Funeral services for Danny Ray Messick, 60, of Shelbyville will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. Mr. Messick passed from this life Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after an extended illness.
Visitation will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Born May 6, 1961 in Cannon County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Marshall Ray and Flora Mae Trail Messick. He was preceded in death by: beloved wife, Barbara Jean Messick; and brother, Jerry Ray Messick.
Survivors include: daughter, Barbara Ann Messick of Shelbyville; step-daughter, Emma Jean Scott Pugh of Chapel Hill, grandson William Timothy Scott Pugh; sisters, Donna Armstrong, and Debra King; brothers, Roy Messick, and Gary Messick; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
