Dennis Watts, 77, of Christiana, formerly of Knott County, Ky., passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, at home after a short illness. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 28, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Randy Neal officiating.. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery, Christiana, Tenn. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

He was born in Lackey, Ky., February 28, 1946, to the late Hager Watts and Alifair Conley Watts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Erlene Wells Watts; two beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Deena Joyce and Roy Cox, Sarah E. "Beth" and Daniel Burks; three grandchildren, Greyson E. Cox, Mattie N. Cox and Tanner C. Burks; three sisters, Minnie Faye (Floyd) Ison, Thelma Ilene (late Bill Venters) and Goldy (James M.) Conley; 1 brother, Jerry (Diane) Watts and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Reba Joyce (Watts) Triplett and Laura Watts; six brothers, J.M. Watts, Elmer Ray Watts, William Harlan Watts, Eddie Lee Watts, Robert Clinton Watts and James Olus Watts.
