Eagles outscore Wildcats

TULLAHOMA — While host Tullahoma saw its top scorer earn medalist honors on Tuesday afternoon at Lakewood Country Club, it was Shelbyville Central that posted the best team score, beating the Wildcats by eight strokes.

Shelbyville was led by Brady O’Neal and Hunter Wilhelm, both of whom shot a 40 to lead the Eagles to a team score of 164.

Jordan Meece and Ashton Hardison finished their rounds with a 41 and 43 to total the Eagles’ team score.

Tullahoma’s Andrew Cardosi earned medalist honors with his round-best 38.

Moore County took third in the tri-match with a 225 team score.

In the girls’ competition, Tullahoma’s Ava Catherine Banks shot a 38 to earn medalist honors and lead the Lady Wildcats to the team victory.

The lone Eaglette, Hannah Campbell, finished third in overall scoring with a 45.

Shelbyville will be back on the course on Thursday afternoon for an 18-hole match against Coffee County at Willow Brook Golf Club in Manchester.
