WINCHESTER — Shelbyville Central’s Golden Eaglette soccer team fell 6-2 at Franklin County in the district tournament on Thursday night.
The Eaglettes took a 1-0 lead off a free kick by Britzel Hayitin.
Shelbyville Central’s other goal was by Paige Blackburn off an assist by Sharaid Palmeros.
“Our girls played so hard. Franklin County is just a really good team but we put up a good fight.”
The Eaglettes travel to McMinn County on Tuesday in toor first round of the region tournament.
