There was plenty of offense to go around in Wednesday afternoon’s game between Shelbyville Central and Franklin County.
The two teams combined for 26 hits, but it was the Rebels that were able to take advantage of seven Eagle errors and take the 15-4 win over Shelbyville.
A three-run first inning tilted things in favor of the visitors.
They played add on with a four-spot in the top of the second inning, only to see Shelbyville scratch two runs across the plate in the bottom of the second
Both teams plated a single run in the third, but it was a 7-1 run to close the game that blew the game open for Franklin County.
Of the Eagles’ 10 hits, Cartson Williams, Nick Johnson, Marquis Wilson and Kyler Trice all had multi-hit nights, with Trice, Johnson and Nick Hopper all recording doubles.
Five different Eagles appeared on the Mound for Shelbyville.
