An overnight fire, late Saturday night caused significant damage to a Deason area home.
Fire Officials were called to a house on Eady Road shortly before midnight. While enroute, Bedford County 911 advised crews that callers reported the side of the house was engulfed and ammunition is stored in the affected rooms. Access to the home was complicated by a very narrow driveway, requiring crews to stretch lines from the road to the house. While making an initial attack, crews found heavy smoke showing with fire in two rooms of the structure. It took crews about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation. No injuries were reported.
