George C. “Butch” Marsh, 74, of Shelbyville died Saturday, May 7, 2022.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
He was born June 27, 1947 in Sparta; was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved fishing and telling jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. “Jack” Marsh and Maggie Emerton Marsh; brothers and sisters, Tom Marsh, Jim Marsh, Bob Marsh, Shirley Sherrill, Florine Qualls and Lee Johnson.

George is survived by his wife, Vickie Wright Marsh; children, Callie Marsh, George Marsh Jr., Lisa Marsh, Amanda Marsh, Kristen Marsh, Tina Turner, Roger (Lisa) Turner, Bennie Simms; brother, Jacky (Nancy) Goodwin and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
