Mr. James Loyd Rogers, age 69, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at his home, under the loving care and comfort of his family and Alive Hospice.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Mark Hall will officiate, with burial to follow in Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg.
The family will receive visitors 12 noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born April 29, 1952, in Lewisburg, to the late Loyd Randall and Emily Warren Rogers. He was a retired truck driver and a lover of horses. As one who never met a stranger, he was always the center of attention. Jimmy enjoyed playing his guitar and held membership at Ransom Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Earley Rogers; a son, Jeremy Rogers, and his wife Stacy; daughters, Shawn Rogers Dominguez, and her husband Jose, and Amanda Rogers Benton, and her husband Wesley; a brother, Brent Rogers; sisters, Rita Cowan, and her husband Bobby, and Lisa Wing; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
