Funeral services for Jane Haynie Pickle, age 86, of the Pleasant Grove community, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021 in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Jim Sorrells officiating. Burial followed in the Round Hill Cemetery in the Belfast community. Mrs. Pickle passed from this life Wednesday afternoon, November 24, 2021, at Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital.
A native of the Mimosa community in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late William and Luna Wilkes Haynie. She was preceded in death by: husband, Charles C. (Bud) Pickle; daughter, Freida Pickle, son, Robert Samuel Pickle; and brother, Hilton Haynie.
Mrs. Pickle was a farmer’s wife, a faithful member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, and a member of Liberty FCE.
Survivors include son; William “Billy” Haynie Pickle of Pleasant Grove Community; daughter, Gemella Jane (Arnold) Colson of Corinth, Kentucky; grandchildren, Billy C. (Tina) Pickle, Sam Pickle, Kasey Pickle, Lauren (Michael) Miller, Riley Colson, Courtney (Caleb) Youngblood, Christopher Bailey, Earl Bailey, and Justin Pickle; great-grandchildren, Sidney (Jake) Cross, Andy Blake Miller, Lilibeth Regynski, and Cole Stanfill; and great-great-grandchild, Emery-Jane Stanfill.
