Funeral service for Jeffry Wayne Smith, age 61, of Fayetteville, TN were held on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at 6 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ennis Hyman, Keith Kilpatrick, and Tommy Hampton officiating. Burial was on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 10 a.m.at Wright's Cemetery.
Jeff was born on January 26, 1960, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Lee Wayne and Martha Dolan Haislip Smith. He spent most of his life working in auto and tractor equipment and was the Parts Man at Badenhop, Howard Bentley, and most recently Tri Green Equipment. Jeff loved his family and loved to laugh and tell jokes. He attended Washington Street Church of Christ. Jeff passed away on October 7, 2021, at Lincoln Medical Center.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Jill; daughters, Corbin Lynn Smith and Molly Keller Smith; sisters, Sherrie Tomerlin, Patsy (Jim) Walker, Nancy (Brent) Patrick; brother Lee (Terri) Smith; sister-in-law, June Moore Smith; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Austin Smith.
Visitation with the family was held on Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 3 pm to 6 pm at Higgins. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Jeff Smith Funeral Fund care of Robin Jill Smith at Redstone Federal Credit Union.
