LYNCHBURG — A furious fourth-quarter rally wasn’t enough for the Liberty Lady Patriots on Tuesday night at Moore County.
Having been held to single digits through the first three quarters and trailing 24-8, the Lady Patriots caught fire in the fourth frame, but just couldn’t finish the rally and fell 28-21.
Anna Haskins once again led the charge, scoring the majority of her 14 points in the 13-point fourht quarter.
In the second half, Liberty outscored Moore County 15-9, but just couldn’t overcome the first-half struggles.
Moore County led 19-6 after the first half and tacked on five more in the third frame.
Liberty hope to get back on track on Monday with another road contest scheduled at Fayetteville.

**Flintville 43, Liberty 26
FLINTVILLE — A slim, first-half lead faded away in the second half for the Liberty Lady Patriots on Monday night at Flintville.
Liberty was outscored 30-9 in the second half and suffered a 43-26 defeat.
Just three Lady Patriots penciled their names into the scoring column.
Anna Haskins led the way with 14 points, while Taylar Wessner chipped in 10.
Lilly Gray also connected on a basket.Flintville led 7-4 after the first quarter, but saw Liberty charge ahead for a halftime lead, out-scoring the hosts 12-6 in the second.
Flintville responded with a 17-point effort in the third frame, which ultimately proved the difference in the contest.
