As of Thursday (latest update prior to press time) Bedford County has 203 active COVID-19 cases, according to Tennessee Department of Health. Officials at Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital said today that the recent surge of COVID-19 in this region is lessening, which continues to be good news.
Officials said there are still many very sick people in the hospital—most unvaccinated. And, Bedford County has one of the lowest fully vaccinated populations in the state.
