Mrs. Martha Marie Hatchett, age 85, of Bell Buckle, passed away September 23, 2021. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Brother Jay Pope will officiate with burial to follow at Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle. The family requests for visitors to please wear masks.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Martha was born May 14, 1936, in Lincoln County, to the late Thomas Henry Hudson Ashby and Lorena Mae Summers Ashby. She was a farmer, housewife, beloved mom, devoted grandma, and a faithful member of Kingdom Cultivation Ministries. She enjoyed picking up rocks and was known to have a good aim.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Nathan C. “Buck” Hatchett, Jr., a brother, John Henry Ashby, and a sister, Elizabeth McGee.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Michael) Ensey; son, Calvin (Becca) Hatchett, both of Bell Buckle; four brothers, Billy Ashby, Shelley Ashby, James Ashby, and Joe Ashby; two sisters, Joyce Ashby and Jean Henderson; five grandchildren: Jennifer (Tim) Little, Stephanie (Kenny) Houch, Travis (Brittany) Ensey, Sherie “Meanie” Hatchett, and Joshua Hatchett; five great-grandchildren, Madison Houch, Jayden Little, Morgan Houch, Blaine Little, and Dartainyn Little; and one great-great granddaughter, Kinsley Lambertson.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
