Shelbyville Central’s Golden Eaglettes dropped their season opener 7-2 to visiting Moore County on Monday evening.
Moore County scored a pair of runs in the first frame, four off a Anysten Metcalf grand-slam in the second and added a run in the third inning.
The Eaglettes lone runs came in the fifth inning.
Paisley Logan got the win in the circle.
Shelbyville Central also lost to Eagleville and Forrest this week.
