Peggy Joyce Sanders Caffey. 90, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Pastor Faye Tucker officiating.
She was born June 29, 1931 in Ardmore, Ala.; was a retired registered nurse, graduating from Nashville General Hospital in the 1950s and retired from the V.A. Hospital in Murfreesboro. She was a member of Blankenship United Methodist Church.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Jay Sanders and Mary Frank Faulkinberry Sanders; her brothers, Arthur Sanders, Jay Sanders Jr. and son-in-law, Jim Price.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Doyle M. Caffey; her daughter, Cindy Caffey; son, Steve Caffey (Nancy); grandsons, David Caffey and Aaron Caffey; sisters, Betty Richards, Dorothy Sanders, Arrie Elizabeth Shelton; sisters-in-law, Karen Sanders, Marilyn Sanders and many nieces and nephews.
