Marijuana was confiscated from a man initially stopped for driving on a revoked license Monday, a Bedford County Sheriff’s Office report said.

Christian Wooten allegedly had 2.2 grams of marijuana in the vehicle’s console, Deputy Justin Merlo said.

A charge of simple possession was added.

• A small bag of methamphetamine was found by an employee early Wednesday at one of the Marelli buildings on Stanley Boulevard, police said.

A material handler found the bag around 3 a.m. near an office.

Theft

A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight Tuesday at Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital, police were told.

Shoplifting

Police charged Michelle Scharp, address not available, with shoplifting Tuesday after she allegedly took $42 worth of merchandise from Dollar General Market, North Main Street.

Checkpoints

Two upcoming sobriety checkpoints have been announced by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

They will begin at 9 p.m. Fri., March 31 on Highway 82 South at the 6.5 mile marker and at 9 p.m. Fri., April 7 on Highway 41A North .9 miles south of the 3 mile marker.
