After a strong cold front moves through bringing rain Friday and Friday night, we will get back to sunshine for the weekend and it will be turning much cooler with highs in the mid-60s and lows in the mid-40s.
Our next full moon comes on October 20. It is called the Hunter’s Moon and will appear for the day before and the day after.
How did it get its name? As the Native Americans prepared for the cold months ahead, they looked to October’s full moon as the signal to gather meat for winter. Because of this, the October moon came to be known as the Full Hunter’s Moon.
