Rickie Douglas Reese, aged 72, of Shelbyville, passed away early Friday morning, November 1, 2024, at Hospice of Chattanooga.
He was born on March 22, 1952, in Fayetteville to the late Ralph Douglas Reese and Eula Bulean Fuller Reese. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Roger Dale Reese and Mary Lou Stephens.
Rickie attended Shelbyville Central High School and served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked as a truck driver for 20+years, and in his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and leather crafting.
He is survived by his daughter, Christy Arnold; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Joshua Arnold; brother, Mickey Joe Reese and wife Jill; sister, Patsy Marie Andrews and husband Don, along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, at Bomar Cemetery in the Raus Community.
Visitation with the family will be held 11a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, at Doak-Howell Funeral Home prior to graveside services.
