Shelbyville Central High School Criminal Justice Student Organization (C.J.S.O.) recently opened its 4th annual toy drive-one designed to allow students to be a part of making Christmas a little happier for children in need.
“The awesome concept of this toy drive is that its supports the needy children of Bedford County,” said Chris Hobbs, SCHS criminal justice instructor. “We currently have placed toy donations bins at COOP, Tractor Supply, Dollar General and Yoes Barber Shop and will be accepting donations through Dec. 14.”
Toys will be being distributed on Dec. 15, from the SCHS Annex on J.G. Helton Drive. If anyone knows of a child in need they may call Hobbs at 684-1889 and have the child in need placed on the toy distribution list.
The criminal justice class is a part of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes sponsored by SCHS and Bedford County School System. CTE) courses prepare students for high demand careers with a depth of learning that builds real-world skills.
Each CTE course is part of a comprehensive program of study so that students choosing this path can graduate ready for a job, certification or technical school.
