Funeral service for Sheila Mechelle Gray, age 55, of Shelbyville, will be held 7 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy D. Kesey officiating. Sheila passed from this life Monday, October 5, 2021 at Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born January 13, 1966 in Great Bend, IL, she was the daughter of Mary Ann Crowley and the late Larry Frame.
Sheila graduated in 1984 from Coffee County High School, received an Associate’s degree from Motlow State Community College and a Bachelor’s degree from Liberty University. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for 20 years, owned and operated Community Club House daycare for 5 years, and 7 years as a social worker where she most recently worked with Centerstone Mental Healthcare. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew her.
Along with her mother she is survived by: children, Amber (Josh) Cook, Margo (Chris Wedgeworth) Gray, Robby (Lindsay) Gray, Abigail (Ryan) Beck, and Nikki Gray; grandchildren, Rylee & Austin Brown, and Dexter Wedgeworth; brothers, Sean Sparks, and Larry Frame; sisters, Shanon (Ken) Rollins, Roxanne Starks, and Taffida Pinkerton; also several nieces and nephews.
