Bedford County Mayor Chad Graham signed a proclamation declaring Tuesday, Feb. 22, “Spay Day” in Bedford County, as it is across Tennessee.
County Commissioner Anita Epperson, who serves as president of the Middle Tennessee Spay and Neuter Clinic board, accepted a copy of the proclamation from Mayor Graham.
According to the proclamation, “spaying and neutering has been shown to dramatically reduce the overpopulation of cats and dogs, proving to be a wise investment in saving animal lives and taxpayer dollars, especially when combined with a policy to spay/neuter prior to adoption.”
MTSNC offers affordable spay/neuter services for dogs and cats belonging to responsible pet owners and caretakers in the middle Tennessee area. The clinic is located at 846 Union Street in Shelbyville. For more information, go to mtsnc.org or call 931-684-5353.
