A suspect in two Shelbyville robberies Tuesday was taken into custody last Wednesday.
Godice Clark, 23, of Landers Street turned himself in at Shelbyville police headquarters, Detective Sgt. Charles Merlo said.
Clark and an accomplice, who had not been arrested as of Friday morning, are accused of robbing two people known to them at a Germantown Road home around 5:30 p.m, and a clerk at T&M Market, East Depot Street, at 8:45 p.m.
The robbers allegedly pointed handguns while the Germantown Road victims placed children into car seats.
One demanded the wallet of a victim, police said. At 8:49 p.m. one of the men allegedly demanded “all the money” from the clerk at T&M Market while holding a gun in her face as the other suspect stood in a doorway.
The armed suspect eventually took the entire cash drawer, police were told.
Victims on Germantown Road told police the suspects left in a blue Ford Fusion. That car was seen on security video from the store.
Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to contact Det. Nathan Everhart or Merlo at 931-684-5811.
