Well, they did it. Cascade Middle School students Charlie Pirtle and Noah Fletcher pulled off a great Back-to-School Bash last Saturday at Harris Middle, as reported by those in attendance.
The two teens also organized a backpack drive this summer for students in need within the school system. From games to visiting with local law enforcement, K-5 students seemed to have a great time.
Organizing an event of this magnitude has taken up these junior high kids’ whole summer vacation. This will be Charlie’s second year at Cascade Middle and Noah’s first, yet they weren’t shy about reaching out to the community to support their outreach.
It takes a lot of confidence and legwork, they discovered. But they’re two young men on a mission. They’re hoping to expand the bash to all students in the near future.
They were very appreciative of Cooper Steel, churches and businesses which contributed this year.
