RICHLAND — After trailing 17-11 after the first quarter of play in Tuesday night’s non-district tilt at Richland, the Community Viqueens essentially played the host Lady Raiders evenly the rest of the way, but never could overcome the early void left by the first quarter and the Purple and Gold took its first loss of the season, falling 52-47.
Richland built a six-point lead that proved key in the final outcome of the game.
The Lady Raiders put six players in the scoring column, with Kylee Hall leading the hosts with 15 points, while Gracie Bearden chipped in 12.
The Viqueens managed just four in the scoring column, but were led by three in double figures.
