FAYETTEVILLE – The Community Viqueens opened their 2020 season in grand style by shutting out the Fayetteville Lady Tigers 4-0 in a District 6-A soccer game Thursday night.
The Viqueens wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as Jemima Ramos scored off an assist from Zoey Dixon three minutes into the game to give Community a 1-0 lead.
Three minutes later, Addison Brothers found the back of the net to get the Viqueens a 2-0 advantage.
Lexi Molnar closed out the first half scoring with a goal off an assist from Ramos to put Community up 3-0.
Ramos tallied her second goal 25 minutes into the second half to conclude the scoring.
Meanwhile, Viqueen keepers Kelsea Kupczyk and Chloe West kept Fayetteville at bay to preserve the Community shutout.
The Vikings travel to Cascade for a district and intra-county matchup Monday at 5 p.m.
