Mr. William Robert “Bobby” Moore, age 88, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022, under the loving care and comfort of his family and the fine and professional staff at Alvin C. York Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2022, at Depot Street First Baptist Church in Shelbyville. Reverend Jeff Rasnick will officiate. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service Friday at the church.
He was born August 13, 1934, in Haley, Tennessee, to the late William Robert and Amanda Melvina Jenkins Moore, Sr. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served in the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, The United Nations Medal, Korea Service Medal, and the National Defense Medal. He was retired from Jensen’s Incorporated and National Pen, and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, James Moore, Mary Elizabeth Henson, and Dorothy Elliott.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary Mae Mickle Moore, of Shelbyville; daughters, Rachel Kirkland, and her husband Kevin, of Maryville and Rebecca Webb, and her husband Dean, of Wartrace; grandchildren, Hunter Kirkland, Lauren Kirkland, Caroline Kirkland, Colton Webb, and Kayleigh Webb.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
