Wilma Nelson Raney, 78, of Shelbyville died Thursday, September 30, 2021.
Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday, October 3rd, at Hillcrest Funeral Home, Rev. Ron DeWitt officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation began at 1 p.m. Wilma was born February 16, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Okla., She was former teacher for the Bedford County School System where she taught for 36 years and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene of Shelbyville.
She is survived by her mother, Miriam Kimbro Carrick; her husband of 59 years, William H. Raney Jr.; children, David (Candi) Raney, Dawn (Bill) Forcht and a sister, Donna (Gary) Hasty. She was preceded in death by her father, David Andrew Nelson.
