Super Sunday Trivia Contest

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

Coming in the Wednesday edition of the T-G: We preview the upcoming Super Bowl XLIX matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, their various roads to Glendale, Arizona, as well as a little controversy in the AFC Championship.

Also in the section, there will be a six-question Super Bowl trivia contest to test your knowledge of the game, team, and players in this year's Super Bowl.

Contest submissions may be entered online at or at the Times-Gazette office. Entries must be received by noon Monday, Feb. 2. Winners will be announced on Feb. 3.

Prizes for the contest include a $200 Athlon Sports gift certificate, a $40 Toots gift certificate, an order for two large, two topping pizzas, bread sticks and a two-liter of Coke from Dominos, and two large, up-to five topping pizzas, cheese sticks and a double chocolate chip brownie from Papa John's.

Kickoff is set for Sunday evening, Feb. 1, at 5:30 p.m. when Tom Brady and Bill Belichick set off to etch their names in history as one of the most successful coach-player tandems, winning an unprecedented fourth Super Bowl title, in his sixth trip to the league championship.

Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are out to set their names in stone as well, becoming the first team to repeat as world champions since the Patriots accomplished the feat themselves in Super Bowl XXXVIII and Super Bowl XXXIX.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the Wednesday edition of the T-G to preview the Sunday showdown, as well as play in the Super Sunday Trivia Contest.
