Burglary solved: Thanks!
To the Editor:
I am writing to respond to your notice “Electronic equipment stolen from church” Saturday, June 8, 2019, page 3A. We did have a break in about 9:00 in the morning by two boys. We call them “visitors.” They broke a window and stole a guitar some sound equipment and vandalized enough to destroy one security camera and some other electronic equipment.
But I am writing to say thank you. Thank you to the Sheriff’s Department. Thank you to the detectives, the security company, the glass company and the church family. The boys were caught within 24 hours. The stolen items were recovered within 48 hours. I know that this favorable result was because each different area did a great job with their own responsibilities. Together they took something evil and turned it into good.
There is one thing I would like to say to the public. You are welcome at New Hope Chapel. We have worked for years to open up this beautiful area for worship, devotion, prayer, weddings, graduation pictures and fireworks on the fourth of July. Unfortunately now we are forced to close off the entrance to the Chapel. If you would like to use the Chapel please contact us through the website. We will be more than happy to open it for you and to schedule events for you.
Again thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes.
