New and incumbent county officials were sworn in last Wednesday afternoon at Bedford County Courthouse, taking the oath of office to uphold their duties fairly and honestly. Circuit Court Judge Wyatt Burk presided over the ceremony. “Those of you that are embarking on this new journey as commissioner or other elected official, I believe if you consistently, thoroughly and conscientiously prepare and work hard at what you do, the citizens of Bedford County will be better for it. I implore you to do that,” he said.
