Mr. Ernest Ray Lyons, age 78, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Jeremy Wells will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born August 20, 1943, in Murfreesboro, to the late James Waldon and Mary Lee Clark Lyons. Mr. Lyons was retired from Tyson Foods after 33 years of service, and spent 18 of his retirement years working at Walmart. He attended Whosoever Will Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lyons.
Survivors include a son, Ernest Ray Lyons; daughters, Tina Howard, and her husband Calvin, Teresa Cannon, Denise Haislip, and Shirelle Lyons; brothers, George Lyons, and his wife Bobbie, and John Lyons; a sister, Lula Lyons; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
