The Fairview FEC Club met Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the UT/TSU Extension Office in Shelbyville. President Pat Hastings opened the meeting and led the members in bicep curls. Ann Cannady read the call to order, and Betty Brown read a lesson on giving thanks by Sarah Young.

Whitney Danhof presented an Educational Lesson on Holiday Traditions. She passed out pictures and directions to make several decorative items for the Christmas season and also demonstrated how to actually make the items.

Minutes of the October meeting were approved as read. Nine members answered roll call. Linda Lovell gave the treasurer’s report, and Susie Armstrong gave the sunshine report.

Members made final preparations for their holiday party in December. Due to the pandemic it was decided that a box lunch would be appropriate this year. These will be prepared by Joe McCurry and brought to the club for members to enjoy following the regular December meeting.

Danhof reported on the recent virtual state conference. Some members in Bedford County had registered to virtually attend several sessions. Two watched it from the extension office. Members who registered will be able to see the sessions online very soon.

Betty Brown gave a club member demonstration of three birthday cards she had received in October that were handmade by the senders.

Hastings read the adjournment. The next meeting of the club will be at 10:30 A.M. on December 16 at the Extension Office.
