On Saturday, the Shelbyville Sharks competed in a summer meet in Lewisburg.
Storms in the area forced the meet to be cut short and full meet results were unavailable.
On Monday evening the Sharks were back indoors at the Shelbyville Recreation Center, hosting Fayetteville.
Fayetteville won the competition in total points with a score of 323-249.
"I am so proud of everyone for giving every race their all," Sharks' head coach Lauren Ball said.
Almost every event ended in a nail-biter, but Fayetteville was able to put more points on the board.
The Sharks' girls team won their portion with a score of 149-124.
Several Sharks posted improvements in the meet.
Reece Harvey dropped two seconds off her 50-meter butterfly, and won the 50-meter backstroke.
Grace Moody stepped out of her comfort zone for the Sharks and competed in the 50-meter breaststroke and 100-meter Individual Medley. She placed first in both.
On the boys' side, the Sharks fell to FAST by a score of 172-80.
Ben Betzelberger was a standout for the Sharks.
Betzelberger competed in the 50-meter breaststroke, 50-Meter Freestyle, and 100-meter Individual Medley.
He won all three events.
Overall, the Sharks are improving with every meet as individuals and as a team.
"We still have several more meets coming up, and I am looking forward to seeing what our swimmers continue to do in the water," Ball said.
Next on the schedule of the Sharks is a home meet versus Lawrenceburg on Monday.
The meet will begin at 5:30 p.m.
