The Times-Gazette is putting out its election questions for any candidates who would like to respond.
We believe these are the issues that residents are most interested in these days.
Email your responses to: dawn@richardsonmediagroup.net.
1. What kind of commitment, if elected, will you make to see that BC road work is funded as needed? Explain which areas of the County you believe need the most attention regarding road work?
2. What is your take on BC's current ranking at the state level on per pupil spending? Do you feel the County should be spending at least as much or more than other counties in the South Central District on its students?
3. Is there enough transparency in local government? If no, why do you believe that's happening? What is your background in government service?
4. If an increase in property taxes were required to fund education or to make road improvements, would you vote for or against an increase? Or what alternative would you propose to increase funding in these areas, without a property tax rate increase?
5. What is your stance on local community development/housing? Do you believe we need to slow down this process? Full speed ahead? Or would you take more of a stance on behalf of your constituents who publicly voice against higher density developments?
6. How many County government meetings have you attended in the last 3 years? Name the committee, etc., please. What involvement do you plan to have outside those monthly meetings in the community?
7. How do you see the future of this County when it comes to growth? Any concerns regarding growth you have? Would you welcome more business opportunities in the County?
