Local longtime Titans season ticket holder announces draft pick

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Getting drafted into the NFL and hearing your name called in one of the seven rounds each year is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
In fact, only 1.2 percent of college football players are lucky enough to reach that milestone.
As the years have gone by, the NFL Draft has grown into an enormous event that fans from across the country attend to see who their team picks and have fun while doing it.
Going to the draft as a fan is a great experience, but announcing a pick for your favorite team is on the same level as being that pick.
That was true and more for longtime Titans season ticket holder and local mailman, Scott Claxton, who was invited to the draft by the Titans to go on stage and announce a pick.
Claxton and fellow Titans super fan, Walter Phillips, made the trip to Kansas City, Mo. last weekend where they spent all four days watching the draft at Union Station Kansas City.
On the third day, it was time for Claxton to go on stage to make Tennessee’s 6th round pick.
And with the 186th pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans selected Jaelyn Duncan: offensive tackle, University of Maryland.
A moment Claxton will never forget, and a player he is sure to be rooting for in the years to come in Nashville.
