Phyllis Ann Long went to be with her loving Father on Monday, October 4, 2021.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her father, Herman Barber and grandson, Garrett Long.
Phyllis is survived by her mother, Geraldine Barber, her devoted husband, Barry Long, her two sons, Shannon (Laura) Long, Nathan (Rebecca) Long, her two sisters, Kathy Hardaway and Vicky (Dale) Owens, her grandchildren: Maison (Rachael) Long, Brayden (Jacey) Long, Carson Long, Maebry Long, Jacob and Olivia. Her great-grandchildren Peyton and Thackery as well as nieces and nephews.
Phyllis loved life and everyone around her. She was a devoted and loving grandmother, daughter, wife, mother, and friend. Phyllis had a green thumb and enjoyed her garden. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Shelbyville. Phyllis was a long-time resident of Lynchburg and graduated from Tullahoma High School in 1972. She will be missed until the day we meet with her again in heaven.
We welcome you to join us in her celebration of life on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Shelbyville. Visitation will be held from noon-2 p.m. and the service will follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to First Choice Pregnancy Center or First Baptist Church of Shelbyville.
