A South Cannon Boulevard resident who thought his home was being broken into called 911 21 times between midnight and early afternoon Saturday, Shelbyville police said.
Colt Chambers was told several times by Officer Jerry Lawrence he was safe and to stop calling.
No signs or indications of any break-in attempts were actually seen by police.
The calls kept coming and Chambers was charged with aggravated non-emergency contact of 911, with a bond of $2,000 set.
