The traffic signal near River Ranch Estates on Highway 41A North is back. Traffic is down to one lane until the Tennessee Department of Transportation can repair the culvert and slope at the bridge over Dryland Creek due to slope failure and bridge wingwall failure. Flooding and erosion in May caused a portion of the roadway embankment and wingwall to collapse. TDOT crews made repairs by replacing the slope and wingwall, but last week’s heavy rains caused the embankment to slip again on Saturday. TDOT says there is no structural damage to the bridge and it is safe for traffic to cross.
