Funeral service for Robert Kenneth Snell, Jr., age 51, of Shelbyville, will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Kenneth passed from this life Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a short illness.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m..
Born on March 10, 1971, in Shelbyville, TN, Kenneth was the son of Shirley Marie Clanton Davis and the late Robert Kenneth Snell, Sr. Along with his father he was preceded in death by grandparents, C.J. and Frances Clanton and Sherman and Mary Anna Snell.
Kenneth was a 1989 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School and worked as a contractor in residential construction for many years. In his free time he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and boating.
He is survived by: children, Katie Snell of Baton Rouge, La. and Kenzie Snell of Woodville, Miss.; grandchildren, Aubrey and Drake; mother, Shirley (Henson “Bo”) Davis of Sparta; sister, Tabitha (Todd) Foote of Bell Buckle; step-siblings, Jennifer (AJ) Runkle of N.C. and Tommy (Carmen) Davis of McMinnville; also several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
