Several face drug charges

Two people were arrested on drug-related charges during a traffic stop Wednesday on North Cannon Boulevard.

Sandra Deonna Brannan, 48, of Christiana was charged with simple possession of a schedule II drug and paraphernalia after Shelbyville officer Dylan Bliss allegedly found a pipe with methamphetamine residue under her seat in their car. Brannan told Bliss she had a bag of methamphetamine in a sock.

Patrick Mann Jones, 41, of Christiana was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia when a pipe with methamphetamine residue was found near his seat in the vehicle, Bliss said.

The driver, Kimberly Ann Crisp, 46, of Landers Street was initially stopped for a malfunctioning taillight and subsequently failed field sobriety tests. She told Bliss she had taken a sleeping pill approximately 45 minutes earlier.

Brannan was held on $4,000 bond and Crisp on $3,000 bond including vehicle light law and violation of probation charges. Jones was released on recognizance.

•A stranger found asleep in his vehicle in the yard of a Bottle Hollow Road home Thursday was charged with possession of a schedule II drug.

Robert Norman Helton, 40, of Lynchburg told Deputy Clyde Boyce of the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office he had forgotten a bag of crystal methamphetamine was in his pocket, Helton allegedly said he hadn’t used the substance in approximately a month.

Helton posted $2,000 bond.

**Thefts

•Two window air/heat units and power tools were taken Thursday from a home on Maple Street, Shelbyville police were told. Entry/exit appeared to have been through the front door, the report said.

•A dog and its chain were stolen Wednesday from the front yard of a home on Sims Avenue in Wartrace, a BCSO report said.

A suspect was named.

**Jail intake

The following were charged since Wednesday by the Shelbyville Police Department, Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol or 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force. They are only charged; guilt or innocence will be determined by the courts.

•Anthony Wade Bowen, 47, listed as homeless, Shelbyville; failure to appear; released on recognizance

•Sandra Deonna Brannon, 48, Christiana; simple possession of schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia; held, $4,000 bond

•Stacy Marie Cox, 35, Boardwalk Way; two attachments; released, $4,000 bond

•Kimberly Ann Crisp, 46, Landers Street; DUI, driving on suspended license, light law, violation of probation; held, $3,000 bond

•Terrance Preston Eddings, 22, West Lane Street; violation of probation; released on recognizance

•Thomas Edward Ford, 54, Halls Mill Road; domestic assault; held, $1,500 bond

•Kendall Deirdre Hallmon, 26, Halls Mill Road; three attachments (two for child support); released, $1,500 bond

•Daniel Ray Harris, 42, Gregory Mill Road; DUI, driving on revoked license; held, $3,000 bond

•Ashaunte Janai Hatcher, 21, Green Lane; domestic assault; released, $1,000 bond

•Robert Norman Helton. 40, Lynchburg; simple possession of schedule II drug; released, $2,000 bond
