On November 25, 2023, at approximately 3:58 PM Shelbyville Police responded to the area of Blue Ribbon Parkway and Shoma Drive in reference to human skeletal remains being found. The remains were found by a citizen who had been walking in the area and notified police. Upon the officer's arrival, they confirmed the skeletal remains as being human due to the remains being fully clothed and intact. The remains have been sent to the medical examiner's office for further examination and identification. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation and it is ongoing.
