Steven Bernard Juk, 71, of Shelbyville, passed away February 3, 2024, under the loving care and comfort of his family, Aveanna Hospice, and the professional and caring staff at Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital.
A Celebration of Life service will be 2 PM Friday, February 9, 2024, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Jim Moran will officiate. The family will receive visitors 12 noon until service time Friday at the funeral home.
He was born September 12, 1952, in Paw Paw, Michigan, to the late Carl and Naomi Wells Juk. He was a mechanical engineer who worked with AMCO Industries, in the manufacture of bottles, tubes, and caps. Steven also was a “Life Master” in the game of bridge, and a lover of Golden Retrievers, his favorite being “Bernie”. He was known for his dry sense of humor and being a hardworking man.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Kristina Juk, of Shelbyville; a daughter, Kristina Simpson, and her husband Jeff, of Strongsville, Ohio and a son, Daniel Juk, of Illinois; a sister, Lisa Overacker, and her husband Steve, of Michigan and a brother, Paul Juk; four grandchildren, Gordon Simpson, Olivia Simpson, Edward Simpson, and Andrew Simpson; sister in law, Louisa.
Steven would be honored with memorials to Sarah Cannon Cancer Research Institute, 250 25 th Ave. North, Nashville, TN 37203.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
