TWHNC Veterans' Night
A riderless horse was led around the Big Oval during Friday's Veterans' Night at the Celebration to honor the 13 fallen soldiers recently killed in Afghanistan. The tradition dates back to the 18th century, while the backwards boots in the stirrups represent soldiers taking one last look behind. Allison Thorson led horse Suiza during the ceremony.

TWHNC Veterans’ Night was the first one of the Celebration to include first responders in the ceremony.
